The north East Beltline commercial corridor is about to get seven more acres of prime retail property. Workers are putting the final touches on a $1.95 million retail pad at 2284 and 2300 East Beltline Ave. NE, just north of the Village at Knapp’s Crossing, Mark Ansara, retail adviser with Advantage Commercial Real Estate, confirmed.
The site, once complete, will come graded, with a retention pond, utilities and access installed. The pad itself can accommodate a building up to 22,440 square feet, according to the listing.
While the property has not yet secured a buyer, Ansara said it has generated significant interest, and it should ramp up as soon as the site is complete.
Workers late last year began clearing trees and an abandoned house on the nine-acre property to make way for new commercial space along the busy north Beltline corridor. The remaining acreage not included in the listing has already been sold and will be home to a Bank of America branch that is slated for construction this year.
Ansara at the time said the acreage was one of the last prime pieces of vacant land in that retail corridor, which includes Celebration Cinema North, Meijer, D&W Fresh Market, Aldi, PF Chang’s and Barnes & Noble.
