Fifth Third Bank is moving its regional headquarters to One Campus Martius from One Woodward Ave. in downtown Detroit.
The move into more-spacious, 92,500-square-foot accommodations, will allow the bank to consolidate its Detroit operations with Comerica facilities in Farmington Hills and Auburn Hills.
In February, the Cincinnati-based bank completed a merger announced last fall with Dallas-based Comerica Inc. The union created a bank with approximately $294 billion in assets, making it the nation’s ninth-largest bank.
Fifth Third will occupy more than one floor of the One Campus Martius building. Other office tenants include Rocket Mortgage, StockX, Benzinga, Dynatrace, Plante Moran, and more.
Retail stores and restaurants include Heritage Optical, Adelina, Sugar Factory, Texas de Brazil, Ezelli Hair Salon, Detroit Water Ice Factory, and more.
The relocation of Fifth Third’s downtown Detroit office is said to be a decision that reflects the bank’s commitment to the city and its belief in Detroit’s economic potential.
